On the 20th November, the Coordinator General determined a massive development at Ella Bay could go ahead after 7 years of deliberation. The size of the development, dubbed 'the biggest tourist development in Qld, is to be 'crammed' in the middle of a world heritage area, reminiscent of the 'good old white shoe brigade' days of the 80's when unbridled development expansion was allowed without consideration of the natural environment it impacted on or replaced. |
